International fireworks festival Knokke

This is a picture I took at the "International fireworks festival" in Knokke-Heist. We went to the event together with a friend of mine, Koen Vereeken. This was my first time trying to shoot fireworks with a tripod and the hardest thing to do is to get the composition right. Experimenting with shutter speed/aperture was quite easy and all of the shots turned out quite good exposure-wise, but the hardest thing to get right, in my opinion, is the composition. You can never tell where the next firework rocket will explode... Later on we were joined by my colleague and fellow photographer Bert Peers...

Playing with fire

These fire jugglers were part of the stage show of HeksEnVuur in Laarne. Playing a bit with the shutter speed gave me the this result.

HeksEnVuur Fireworks

I didn't see anything at all of the actual show because the crowd was just too dense to get through, but standing back for the fireworks produced this interesting point of view. On the left you can see the town hall of Laarne (Anno 1767) and on the right, hidden behind the enormous tree, a part of the church.
