Where did December go?

One thing’s for sure, this post is long overdue! I can’t believe it’s been over a month since we posted something. Sorry everyone! Busy holidays I guess!

Our holidays were really nice. My mom and dad came to visit us and guess what? They actually made it without delays or cancellations! Both Kris and I got some time off during Christmas and New Year, which was very pleasant. Unlike many Canadians we celebrated Christmas Evening (instead of Christmas day). We stayed home and made an amazing dinner (if I may say so myself).

On Christmas day we visited Scandinave Spa in Whistler and not to forget, we also enjoyed a visit to Jill and Bob’s place. Thanks again for having us over guys! Scandinave Spa, as always, was very relaxing.

Grizzly spend his Christmas Day at the Cheakamus Doggie Den.

Part of our holiday was spend at the Oregon Coast. We were staying at Cannon Beach and had the best hotel (price/quality wise), the Surfsand Resort. Because the weather wasn’t perfect we really got to enjoy the amenities. The hotel had a wonderful gym and a really nice pool and hot tub. The suite was huge and they even had a welcome basket (bone shaped) for mister Grizzly. He was totally spoiled!

After a couple of days in Oregon we decided it was time to head back home and enjoy some hiking.

By the way, Happy New Year! I hope all your wishes may come true this year.
I normally don’t have a lot of New Year’s resolutions but this year’s different. I’ve picked up running in September and I’ve been really enjoying it. I would really like to be able to run a half marathon by the end of the year and I totally want a rematch with Bert on the Grouse Grind (I’d better start training, for both goals!) I’m sure there’s more, but these are the “fun” ones:). I’m kind of hoping by writing it down, I’m making it more “official” (peer pressure).

Anyway, that was it for now. Have fun!
