Whistler

We plan to head up to Whistler this weekend.
We were only going to be there for one day, but we were invited by some friends to stay for the weekend.

We’re probably going dress shopping on Saturday (in the morning), because we need to go to a wedding in September. And I saw this really cute store in Vancouver, so hopefully I can convince Kris to go there first and drive to Whistler after that.

We have a bike park 101 thing booked on Sunday. Guest services will provide us with a full faced helmet, armor and hopefully a mountain bike. The goal of the course is to be able to do some basic mountain bike stuff in a bike park.

We still haven’t bought our own bikes, and we’re not sure whether we need to go for a road bike or a mountain bike, so hopefully the Bike Park 101 will help us sort that out.

I’m pretty sure we both want to go for the mountain bike, but we have to admit, all the trails around here are pretty advanced. You literally drive all the way down a mountain, and along the way you can spend some taking ramps and obstacles.

We’ll see! One thing’s for sure: I am extremely excited for the weekend!

Next weekend we expect more visitors so a couple of busy days coming up again and we are also participating in a dragon boat race very soon! I’ll keep you up to date about that. Hopefully with some pictures:)

Besides that we also booked our holiday for this year and looks like we’ll finally get that honeymoon I dreamed of: Hawaii here we come!

Lots of exciting things are bound to happen in the next couple of weeks! So as soon as we have time and inspiration we’ll write some stuff on the blog!
