In Belgian, the 6th of December is known for "Sinterklaas". Every year he makes the trip from Spain to Belgium (with his steamboat). He gives the children candy and presents. So I think you can compare it with Santa Claus.
About a week ago we received a message from Canada Post. A package was waiting for us at the 7 eleven. Not knowing that "Sinterklaas" came this far to deliver a package, we were very surprised that he thought about us.
He knew exactly what we wanted: Speculoos/ginger bread, my comics: "Suske en Wiske", Chocolate, and a small thingy to boil eggs in the microwave.

On Sunday we went to the Park Theatre to see the premiere of "Saving Luna".
I'm not only writing a review because I liked the movie, but also because of the fact that if enough people go to see the movie, they will allow the filmmakers to show it in more theaters around the world.
Of course you have to be interested in the subject in order to like the movie, but that was no problem for me and Kris.
It started of to be a pretty promising premiere: We were offered a small breakfast and after the movie there was going to be a "Questions and Answer" session which the filmmakers would attend.

On Thursday evening I went to Whistler. Whistler was opening it's mountains for skiing and snowboarding on Friday.
There wasn't any snow in the village when we arrived, but when we woke up on Friday, there was a white carpet at our doorstep. Because one of the people I was with, had a dog, we had to drop him off at daycare. Isn't it amazing, they actually have daycare for dogs. So people who want to enjoy a day at the mountain, can just drop of their pet. No worries at all, because daycare really takes good care of them. They take them out for walks, they play with them,... Really incredible...
