“Sinterklaas” / Santa Claus

In Belgian, the 6th of December is known for “Sinterklaas”. Every year he makes the trip from Spain to Belgium (with his steamboat). He gives the children candy and presents. So I think you can compare it with Santa Claus.

About a week ago we received a message from Canada Post. A package was waiting for us at the 7 eleven. Not knowing that “Sinterklaas” came this far to deliver a package, we were very surprised that he thought about us.

He knew exactly what we wanted: Speculoos/ginger bread, my comics: “Suske en Wiske”, Chocolate, and a small thingy to boil eggs in the microwave.

Thanks to the parents of Kris who’ve made this possible!!!

A little bit later this week, there was a charity sale at EA and Kris bought me a gingerbread house kit. You can make a gingerbread house and you can decorate it with candy. Looking forward to keeping myself busy. I will take a picture of the result and post it on the blog soon.

This weekend we are going to the Santa Claus parade downtown (if the weather allows us to) and next week on the 11th we have our Christmas event. It’s going to be a busy week.

Have a nice weekend!
