Meet Coola (home resort: Grouse Mountain)
Today we’ve visited Grouse Mountain. The two main reasons of our visit:
- It’s our home snowboard resort (for next winter)
- It has a grizzly bear habitat ( wiiiii)
We drove up to North Vancouver and took the skyride to the top of Grouse Mountain.
The first show we saw was the lumberjack show. Pretty funny show with two lumberjacks competing against each other.
Besides the lumberjack show we’ve visited the grizzly bear habitat ( everybody probably knows that I love bears). The habitat houses 2 bears. Grinder and Coola. We only saw Coola today. They are both orphaned grizzlies, and live in the habitat because they can’t be released in the wild anymore since they got used to people they would not survive. The rangers give them the opportunity to grow up in a place which is as close as possible to their natural habitat.
The view from the top of the mountain was amazing. You have a good overview of Vancouver, Vancouver Island,… Very promising for this winter (snowboarding at night with a view on Vancouver).
And a picture of Kris eating a Beavertail (we have no idea what it was made of, the only thing we recognized was a Nutella flavor. So the Nutella part was a good thing;)
And last but not least, I have a new friend, Kris bought me “Mister bear”. I know, I know I should be acting like an adult by now, but well, some people probably understand me if I say I love stuffed animals.
To end our day we went for a swim in a nearby pool because it was like 27 degrees Celsius outside. So the weather is amazing right now!!!
And now I’m going to study “Road Sense for drivers”.Bring it on…

Tja, dat blaffen... Over de grote plas hebben ze naar het schijnt allemaal een persoonlijke psycholoog en/of psychiater. Dan lijkt het mij zeker niet verwonderlijk dat er daar lopen te blaffen. Zolang ze maar niet bijten hé... Greets.

inderdaad zolang ze niet bijten:) we hebben al rare figuren gezien, maar is wel leuk om naar te kijken dus geen klsgen hier. Groetjes aan iedereen daar en bedankt om de blog te checken

Wat deze blogpost niet verklapt: hoe vaak heeft Kris "I'm a lumberjack and I'm okay" aangezet, en hoe vaak heeft hij het volledig gezongen vooraleer Ine hem het zwijgen oplegde?

Hmm wel eigenlijk maar 1 keertje denk ik, en lucky me, hij heeft de iphone aansluiting op onze radio nog niet ontdekt, maar ssshhttt hem niet zeggen he!

Ik ben gewoon tot nu toe altijd al de kabel vergeten... :/
