I had been thinking about redesigning this site for quite a long time. As you can see, the new design is in place (with probably a couple of bugs remaining). The main reason I wanted a new design was because of the pictures not really popping out on a white background and of course because I was tired of the old look. The new design is a joint venture between myself and Ine, as she knows a lot more about colors and styling in general :)
Comments/remarks on the new layout are welcome, so if you notice any bugs in a specific browser or so, do tell :)

It's been a long time since I wrote something. Well actually, I still don't have much inspiration...
As always, our lives have been busy like hell... But, that's not a bad thing.
We would like to take some time off in May. We have some spare time from the 1st until the 4th of May and I want to do something with it. I don't want to sit home and be bored....
So we are thinking of going to Sölden. It's on of the last days of the winter season that the resort is open, so I would really like to go snowboarding once more this season.
Check this out, this is amazing (and a bit scary)! It's a picture...

This picture shows the crossing of Powell street with California street. At this point, the "California Street Line" and the "Powell Street Line" of the San Francisco cable car system cross each other.
The Powell Street cable passes underneath the California Street cable at the intersection of the two lines, because the California Street line was built first. Therefore, Powell Street cars must "let go" of the cable at a point marked on the pavement, coast across the intersection, and pick up the cable again on the other side. If the cable car has to make a stop after letting go of the cable, passengers...

Alcatraz Island is a smaller island located in the middle of San Francisco Bay in California, United States. It served as a lighthouse, then a military fortification, then a military prison followed by a federal prison until 1963. The most famous prisoner who served time in Alcatraz is Al Capone, who arrived in 1934 and stayed 4 years and a half.
Most of the people probably know Alcatraz from the movies The Rock(starring Sean Connery and Nicolas Cage) and Escape from Alcatraz(starring Clint Eastwood). The theme song of the first movie is I think one of the most used songs for tv series. Click...

Just filling the void a bit with this quick post, as I did not have a lot of time lately.
This is another view from the top of the San Francisco Hilton. In the distance you can see the Golden Gate bridge. Since the opening of the bridge in 1937, around 1203 people committed suicide by jumping of the bridge. You can find a suicides by location image on the Golden Gate bridge here.

Steepness does not translate well to pictures. The steepest street in San Francisco is Filbert Street between Hyde and Leavenworth and is 31.5 degrees. The street you see in the picture has a steepness degree of about 25 percent, but in the picture it looks like 5 percent tops. The only way you can see the street is really steep, is by looking at the cars. All of the cars have their front wheels turned, which would cause them to rotate instead of heading straight towards Alcatraz in case of their hand brakes failing or such...
